Still Breathing...

I got the private loan to pay for classes this year and now the Financial Aid Dept. says I need to fill out a petition to allow me to take more classes sine I am about at the allowable limit of 270 credits for a undergrad degree. I called them asking about the fact of my being a post bac student and I was told I need to fill it out anyways...so strange. Pending the outcome of the petition, I may or may not get a new apt; it would be a bit larger than the one I have and it would also have a dishwasher but the rent would go up $90 from what I am paying at the moment ($435). I hope that the petition goes through, otherwise I may have to move back home with the parents...not a pleasant thought...though San Diego might not be too bad though I am not a big fan of earthquakes or tsunamis; the area my mom lives is really flat. I am a good swimmer but not that good.
I am now registered to take the CBEST test; a pre req for grad school in education. D-day is Dec 2nd, right before finals week. Fortunately I am able to take the test here in town. I hope to get a good score on it...I haven't taken a test like this in ages. The ORELA test is another test I need to take but it is offered on the same day and costs more. Apparently i can postpone my taking the ORELA but I can't with the CBEST in regards to my grad school application.
I have finally gotten a little bit of recording done using the recording software i got a couple years back. I had to buy a new input pre-amp to connect to the computer. I also bought a decent condenser mic and some good headphones. I have some more mics and other recording nic nacs on the ol christmas list...we shall see what materializes.
Wisdom teeth leave really big holes when they are removed; had to have one removed this past thursday, a cavity in the tooth got to the point of major annoyance so it has been removed. $313 later...I don't have dental insurance in this state, I may have insurance through the school but since I am taking only 8 credits I am just under the amount of credits for when they automatically deduct the insurance fee. Thankfully it hasn't been that painful, a little soreness in my jaw and very slight tenderness in my gums surrounding the area where my tooth was...not to bad. THe worst part of the whole thing was the wierd unnatural feeling of having the dentist pulling my tooth out. I was waiting for the pain but he had numbed me good enough; it just felt very strange having the tooth yanked from my head.
Meanwhile....I take life one breath at a time...to homework I go...............................

All that paperwork just to get what's yours. Go figure.

Hope your dental work was successful.

Have a great Thanksgiving, Mike!
